Completed in 2017, the design of the Ghana Ridge Hospital was the first project in Africa to receive LEED accreditation. The design of the Ghanaian hospital is an example of how to carry out an integrated design process adapted to the needs and available resources of a local area. The project found ways to overcome the lack of electricity and water available through sustainable and innovative design. It is the first project in Africa to receive LEED accreditation.
